Rise and shine

What's worse than being woken up in the morning by a lawnmower in your backyard? Being woken up at some ungodly hour by a drill over your head.

Yes, 8am on a Saturday morning. The nerve of some people.

Isn't there some obscure law that keeps drill-and-hammer-handy people from interrupting their neighbour's much-needed dream? Shouldn't the disturbed be allowed to complain? Or retaliate? I asked around: nothing we can do, legally. Apparently I should be glad they're not doing it at 3am.

So apart from my increased irritation with tiny apartmental living conditions, I'm actually pretty darn happy with this morning. But it's not going to last; some do-gooder has been attempting some good-doing and decided to make my day by signing me up for a make-over.

So if you see me walking around town this afternoon looking like a clown, stow the cameras, people. Show some sympathy.
